Background

Sledgehammer Games is a subsidiary of Activision founded in 2009 by Visceral Games alumni Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, formerly of Dead Space fame.

1st Logo (November 8, 2011)

Logo: On a green and white radio wave/heartbeat monitor background, "SLEDGEHAMMER GAMES TM" in a giant metallic font fades in. It shortly dissolves out.

FX/SFX: The fade in and dissolve out, as well as the wave graphic. Pretty cool effects that make it stand out from the later logos.

Music/Sounds: The sounds of the monitor.

Availability: Seen on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

2nd Logo (November 4, 2014)

Logo: After the Activision variant on the game, "SLEDGEHAMMER GAMES TM" in a giant metallic font forms from streaks and "slams" into place. A flare on the "D" goes down. Shortly after, the logo "flashes" into that of the game proper, and fades out to the beginning.

FX/SFX: The streaking, the glare.

Music/Sounds: A hammer noise for the text, and the rumbling of the background throughout.

Availability: Seen on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

3rd Logo (November 3, 2017)

Logo: Against a faded fog background, the last logo, now in silver, wipes in and fades out.

FX/SFX: The fade in and fade out.

Music/Sounds: The opening theme of the game.

Availability: Seen on Call of Duty: WWII.
