Background

Private Division is a New York City-based video game publisher founded on December 14, 2017 by Take-Two Interactive through Michael Worosz and Allen Murray to publish indie games developed by small, independent studios.

Logo (January 16, 2018-)

Visuals: A white diamond expands on a black background, becoming blurry with sharp edges as it stops zooming in. When it zooms out, an inner, black diamond expands within the outer diamond, briefly making it disappear before reappearing as a thinly outlined white diamond with a subtle cyan outline. The shape shakes before the outline grows in thickness and bursts its outer glow. While the glow disappears, a copy of the diamond appears near the bottom centre of it, where it is joined by "PRIVATE DIVISION", aligned and crossing paths to where the smaller copy is.

Variant: A still version exists.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: An ominous whoosh plays before the diamond initially disappears. Another whoosh, this time with more strength and fury, rises into a soft, reverbed blast.

Availability: The animated logo debuted on Disintegration was later seen on Penny's Big Breakaway. The logo's overall debut was on Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition.
