Background
Coconuts Japan was a Japanese company founded in November 1985 by Ryōzō Gōhara, specializing in video games, pachinko and pachi-slots. They seem to have closed in 2002.
Logo (August 23, 1996-September 1, 2000)
Visuals: Two lines of orange-yellow letters fly towards the screen in opposite ways. They then settle down to spell "C CONUTS" (without the first "O"). A red ball with the white drawing of a palm tree then flies up and bounces on the U to spell "COCONUTS", then "japan" zooms out at the bottom to form the final result.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A build synth orchestral crescendo with a heartbeat in the background, followed by a hit.
Availability: Seen on the Japanese releases of PO'ed and Vegas Casino for PS1, among other games.
