When Sega decided to partner with ESPN in 2002, the brand was renamed to ESPN Videogames in 2003. Later in 2005, Sega sold Visual Concepts (the primary developer of the brand), Kush Games, the 2K IP and several sport licenses to Take-Two Interactive and the label was renamed to 2K Sports, until 2014, where the brand name is dropped and was released as simply as 2K (The 2K Sports logo was used on the title screen (except for mobile titles) until 2015).

Visuals: Same as the 2005 2K Games logo, but the frames and lines at the start are now circles with a more broken look to them, and "SPORTS" appears underneath the shield instead. The "2K" logo is also displayed at first as stadium lights before they flash brightly at the end, changing to the regular logo.

Variants:

  • On Nintendo DS games, the logo is still and has no relief effect.
  • On most games by 2KS, the still logo is inverted.

Technique: CGI.
