Background
Future Pirates Inc. was a digital film production and game development company with offices in Hollywood and Tokyo. It was founded in 1993 by Tsuyoshi Takashiro, a Japanese DJ, filmmaker, and writer.
Logo (March 1, 1994)
Visuals: An evening street with a closed bakery, a bookstore and open manhole is shown. Many children in pirate costumes are shown running into the manhole, and one of the children peeks his head out and looks around. He then closes the lid as the camera zooms in towards it to reveal a Future Pirates logo (a circle with the letters "FP" in a stacked diagonal format and the pixelated Cloister Black font; words "FUTURE PIRATES INC." and "TOKYO — HOLLYWOOD" (both set in Futura) are shown in arcs above and below, respectively). The company name, now in white and set in different fonts (pixelated Cloister Black for first letters of "Future" and "Pirates", jumbled and pixelated ITC Tiffany Bold for the rest of the former two words, and Helvetica for the registered trademark symbol and "Inc."), appears.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: Sound of a dog barking, followed by children screaming and the manhole lid closing. A whoosh is heard when the camera zooms in to the lid.
Availability: Seen on Chiki-Chiki Machine Mou Race.
