Video Form Pictures (Spain)

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Logo (Mid-Late 1980s)

Visuals: Zooming out from a brown-orange gradient background with several jagged pieces, and spots of pink, dark brown and yellow over the area, there are two segmented pink rectangles that slowly zoom in and rotate. Then, another segmented pink rectangle slides from the left, and stands in the middle whilst zooming in. A bordered pink rectangle with "PICTURES" fades and zooms out to settle in place with the rectangle, as a fuzzy red bordered rectangle abruptly expands, revealing the segmented "VIDEO FORM" text, as well as the rest of the area lightened up slightly with a faint light blue tint.

Technique: Grass Valley 300 switcher effects and computer graphics.

Audio: A deep avant-garde, echoed ominous score overlaid with strings and warbled notes. As the red border expands, it segues to a snippet of the instrumental "Knowing Me, Knowing You" by ABBA.

Availability: Seen on releases from the era, such as Robby the Rascal and Brothers (1982).
