Trigger
From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum
Background
Trigger is a Japanese animation studio formed by many ex-Gainax alumni in 2011. The company would quickly rise to success and acclaim with anime such as Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia and Space Patrol Luluco, but has also been infamous for "so-bad-it's-good" ONA (original net anime) series such as Inferno Cop and Ninja Slayer From Animation.
Logo (October 4, 2013-)
Visuals: On a black background is the word "TRIGGER" in a font resembling old western movie posters. Both "G"s in "TRIGGER" are stylized to look like a gun trigger.
Variant:
- Inferno Cop and Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade has the logo in black on a white background. On the former series, the logo is closer to the screen. On the latter, it appears after the Good Company Limited logo.
- A promotion video for Space Patrol Luluco had three girls - Trigger, Muzzle and Spring - shoot at three blocks of marble, breaking them down to reveal the Studio Trigger logo.
- The trailer for New Panty and Stocking has the logo be blown apart to reveal the letters "PSG" in the same format as the logo letters.
Technique: A still, digital graphic.
Audio: None.
Availability: Appears on the OVA of Little Witch Academia and Inferno Cop.
