Background

Sugishobou Co. Ltd. (杉書房) was a media distribution company in Japan. They licensed and distributed textbooks, history books, and videos about metaphysical topics and paranormal phenomena. The company was formed in 1986 and went defunct in 2006.

Logo (1999-2006)

Visuals: On a starry sky background, three triangles are seen rotating around, with each being in red, green, and purple. Soon, two triangles - yellow and blue - fly in from the foreground and land on the other triangles. The triangles flash blue, coming together as a solid shape, the Sugishobou emblem, with "SUGISHOBOU" appearing under it with another blue flash. The background becomes solid blue, before the logo fades to black.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An echoing, ambient synth track. Soft synth notes play as the triangles move and as "SUGISHOBOU" appears.

Availability: Sugishobou only released exactly 17 films[1], and their copies have become hard to find in the decades since.
