Background

Jaguar Video was a sub-label of World of Video 2000, initially releasing only kung-fu movies, some horror movies (including a few video nasties) were also released under the label.

Logo (December 1980-1982)


Visuals: On a blue background, the letters "J" and "V" pop up at the middle left of the screen with the letters being colored in white and outlined in black, with the "J" in front of the "V". Then, the text "A Jaguar Video Release" pops up next to the logo at the right along with a black spotted Jaguar in which pops up between the J and V.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A (possibly stock) synthesizer fanfare, which is currently unidentified.

Availability: Can be seen on some World of Video 2000 pre-cert releases from the time. Several examples are Don't Answer the Phone, Human Experiments, The Hills Have Eyes, and I'm Not Feeling Myself Tonight!.
