Imagen Video Series

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Logo (1980s)

Visuals: Over a desert sky background, the logo starts with pieces of the trapezoids, in pink, flip in, in order to form the word "IVS" in an abstract font. The pink shapes then form the abstract "IVS". A white outline glows, and then we dissolve away and then it turns into a skyline of New York (the World Trade Center can be seen on the left), and then there is a golden version of the "IVS" logo wipes in from a square effect, and then a gold trapezoid shape with the word "IMAGEN VIDEO SERIES" wipes in from a square effect, then the text flashes.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: Wind blowing, followed by an 80s-esque synth theme. The capture probably had almost all of the audio muted due to copyright.

Availability: Seen on all Imagen Video Series releases that were distributed by HighBand. [Examples?]

2nd Logo (2000s)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a 3D wireframe outline of the text from before rotates in. It then fills in with colors, and then solid, as we turn it into the gold trapezoid from before. The IVS pieces from before appear moves up, one by one, and the logo rotates from the center.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: An abridged version of the music from the last logo.

Availability: Seen on DVDs from the revived Imagen Video Series label. [Examples?]
