Background

Half Moon Video (ハーフムーン) was a video distribution label owned by Bandai Visual. The label was originally founded in 1983 back when Bandai was known as A.E. Planning[1]. Half Moon specialized in adult-oriented content, with most of their releases being produced by or licensed from other studios.

1st logo (1990)

Visuals: There is a blue vertical gradient background. In the centre of the screen is the Half Moon Video logo: the company's name is written in italicized all-caps pink text, overlaid on a yellow semicircle, resembling a half moon. The logo fades out, leaving only the blue background.

Technique: Simple animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Half Moon did not release many videos, and the exact amount of releases is unknown. At this time of writing, there are only three known releases on this label: Visionary by U-Jin (ビジョナリィ by 遊人), Body Jack: Out-of-Body Fun (ボディ・ジャック 楽しい幽体離脱), and Symphony Yume Monogatari (シンフォニー夢・物語), an anthology compiling three adult anime made by All Products in 1985; all three were formerly distributed by C.Moon years earlier.
