Background

At Entertainment (styled @ entertainment) is a Japanese home video distributor of low-budget movies that was formed in 1999.

1st Logo (1999-Early 2000s)

Visuals: On a white background, a maroon circle with a large white "@" symbol on it rolls out of a invisible slot in the background and rolls around from right to left like a coin. When it reaches the middle, it keeps moving before snapping back into the center and a swirling maroon curve suddenly appearing on the edge, spinning clockwise. It then stops spinning quickly and springs into the bottom right of the circle, revealing itself to be the text "entertainment" as it jiggles a bit before stopping.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Unknown, due to the only known capture (seen above) playing background music instead of its original audio.

Availability: Found on early releases from At Entertainment. [Examples?]

2nd Logo (Early 2000s-2008)

Visuals: On a black background with a blue spotlight on the floor, a silver circle, with the "@" symbol from the last logo cut-out of it, spins in from the left as the letters of "entertainment" zip across the screen one-by-one as well. The circle revolves around to the center as usual as the letters fly in from the left in a strange wave pattern before circling around the still-moving circle. As they circle into position, the circle keeps spinning before it stops when the last letter is in place, and the logo flashes a bright blue color. The logo then transforms into a 2D image and the blue spotlight disappears.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A descending choir note as a whoosh plays over it. A flourish of synth notes play when the letters encircle the "@", and a echoing chime plays when the logo flashes.

Availability: Seen on At Entertainment's DVD and Blu-ray releases from the era. [Examples?]

3rd Logo (2008-)

Visuals: On a white background, a clear glass marble appears before filling with red smoke, filling it in with that color. A lens flare is also seen on the marble for a few seconds before it starts to roll off and it disappears as well. The marble then rises up with a white structure from the ground, tinted pink before fading to red. The camera then follows the marble rolling on the structure, which is actually the same "@entertainment" logo from the previous 2 logos, and it starts to rotate to the top of the marble. The screen then zooms out to show the logo in full as it shines and a strange dark grey box fills the background before fading away. The logo shines, gains a drop shadow for a second, and then turns into 2D.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: An ethereal-sounding bell and chime tune.

Availability: Seen on At Entertainment's DVDs and Blu-rays. [Examples?]
