Background

Arrow Video is the video division of the UK-based studio Arrow Films best known for releasing horror and cult films on DVD and Blu-Ray. Originally exclusively releasing products in the UK and Ireland, the company later released products in North America.

1st Logo (2010-2023)

Visuals: On a black background, a red background flips in onscreen with the whole animation shown through a VHS style filter and animated stop-motion style. A yellow stylized "A" zooms out repeatedly, with the letter being different color as it zooms out, and the black arrow shape can be seen zooming in. The background then flashes white as the black letter "A" and arrow merge together and a box etches in around the letter "A". Words "ARROW VIDEO" wipe itself in with the latter word in a black box. After the logo forms, a spark appears on "VIDEO" and wipes itself through the word as the logo briefly simmers red and purple before going back to black. As the spark goes around "VIDEO", each letter changes colors. It briefly shimmers red again, and the logo flashes into a high definition.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: An 80s-style rock synth theme. On the official Arrow Video Youtube channel, the logo (which was uploaded back in 2010) is silent, which might have been seen on early releases.

Availability: Seen on releases from the company, such as FM, RoboCop, and Dune (1984).

2nd Logo (2023-)

Visuals: On a black background, a neon-tube sign with the ARROW logo fades in in neon blue with the letters "ARROW" also fading in and filling with color in the same manner, while the "VIDEO" letters flicker in in their usual colors, with everything fading out as the music does.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A synth playing four notes repeatedly as parts of a brass ensemble play a couple of long notes.

Availability: Seen on the 4K UHD release of Mallrats, among others.
