Background

Ace Video was an American VHS label and later a sub-label of Edde Entertainment. It distributed foreign titles and B-movies.

Logo (1988-1998)

Visuals: On a black background, something whooshes in (rather silently) from the upper right corner on screen. The entire logo is somewhat slanted and sandwiched between two lines, with the "ACE VIDEO" portion written in old computer font and the "PRESENTS" part in small block letters. The logo shines upwards in a diagonal motion.

Variant: Beginning in 1992, the background is light gold, and the animation is reversed itself at the end.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: None, or a short saxophone tune with flute flourishes throughout.

Availability: Appeared on releases from the label. The original version was used on It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time, while the later one appeared on Reborn, Beyond Obsession, and Zombie 6: Monster Hunter. It does not appear on Eminent Domain, which goes straight to the movie.
