ARS Video

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

(1990s)

Visuals: On a grey background, a yellow frame containing a greyscale pixel drawing of a mountain zooms and flips into view. A red/yellow ping then appears, grows, and disappears twice in a row at the highest peak, and then the red stacked letters "AV" flip in from the mountaintop and over to the right. When they settle, the text "RS IDEO" flip in next to it in a Microgramma font, forming "ARS VIDEO. The logo remains still for a few seconds before wiping away left to right.

Technique: Sprite-based computer animation.

Audio: A loop of a generic pop synth beat.

Availability: Seen on Polish copies of various tapes distributed by Video Programme Distributors and its subsidiaries, like Police Trap, French Lovers, and Beyond the Darkness. It also appears on Polish material from companies like ABC Video Enterprises, Paravision International, and Amazing Movies.
