Logo (2000s)

Visuals: The camera turns upward and zooms through a gridded tunnel with its colors alternating from blue, purple, yellow, orange and red. As it zooms, a red A in a futuristic style font rapidly zooms from the left, and a blue K in the same font appears from the right in the same fashion as the A, placing itself next to said letter. A glassy V and O, both connected to each other via a line at the top (said line having three zigzags of altering sizes in the center), flies from the bottom left corner and places itself under the letters, then a translucent triangle zooms in place from the right. Then, ""IDE"" in red zooms from the left and places itself underneath the line connecting the V and O as the triangle starts rotating and zooming. Then, the logo flies past the camera from between the A and K before the company logo spins horizontally to the left, this time with the V and O being black and the triangle being white with a gray gradient on the bottom left. The tunnel "blurs" into a small red and blue light as this happens.

Variants:

  • On early releases, there's a stacked "DVD" text with a line below the logo which lights up when the logo stops spinning. This is also barely seen on later uses of the logo, the difference that it doesn't light up and is darker overall.
  • There exists a still variant, which consists of the company logo set on a black background with a lens flare behind it on the left side. The triangle casts a shadow and the background of said shape is solid white.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A stereotypically futuristic sounding synth tune consisting of a deep blow, kick drum and bongos, which gradually fades out into rapid tapping sounds complementing the logo spinning. None for the still variant.

Availability: Seen on Les Récré à 5. The still variant was found on a DVD release of Arcadia of My Youth: Endless Orbit SSX.
