Background

A.P.P.P. was a Japanese animation studio founded in June 22, 1984 by Kazafumi Nomura. The name of the studio means Another Push Pin Planning. The company's best known anime is the OVA Hentai Cream Lemon (made together with Fairy Dust), the OVA Robot Carnival, the anime movie Project A-ko and the infamous JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood movie, which was known to be lost due a controversy revolving around one of their OVAs' characters reading the Quran. Only clips from the movie survive. According to the company's website, on July 15, 2021 they are no longer accepting projects.

Variants:

  • For the company website, the same company name is shown, but the text "A.P.P.P." is in a different font in a green color with a red shadow, while the bottom text "Another Push Pin Planning" is in the same new font and shadow, but with the color orange.
  • For the official Twitter account, the company name is in a normal italic font with a pink shadow, and the text "CO.LTD" is next to the text "Another Push Pin Planning".

Audio: None.

Availability: Appears in the beginning of the credits of Robot Carnival, but in the American dub by Streamline Pictures, the logo has been removed and replaced by credits with the company name. It is unknown if it appears in other anime made by the company.
