Background

UK Horizons was launched on November 1, 1997, along with three other channels part of the newly created UKTV network. The channel broadcasted nature shows and documentaries. On March 8, 2004, the channel was closed and split into two separate channels: UKTV People (which would later be called) and UKTV Documentary (which would later be called Eden). The latter would carry on broadcasting most shows that were aired on UK Horizons.
