Prism Video

Logo (1987)

Visuals: On a space background with dark red and blue lights on the left side of the screen, a gold, 3D prism zooms and flies in. The prism slides down and then stops at the top section of the screen. Then, a white ray of light beams in and hits the left section of the prism, briefly creating a spark of light before disappearing. Passing through it, the ray of light gains rainbow colors, curves downwards and turns around off-screen, wiping in from right to left on the bottom of the screen. Within the bottom light ray, the company name in a stylized font and blue color wipes in. "VIDEO" is smaller than "PRISM" and is underneath and aligned to the right of the latter word. Then, the prism, text, and ray of light (except for the bottom rainbow portion) disappear. The background cuts to a less detailed, still space background. From here, the company's logo quickly zooms in and stops. "PRISM" is in between two lines, both of which are in the same color as the text itself. "IS" are slanted downward as they align with the inside of an outlined triangle. Underneath the bottom line underneath "M" is "VIDEO". A few seconds later, the logo choppily zooms out to the top left where the following text is displayed:

Audio: An ominous space soundtrack followed by a whoosh accompanying the prism flying. A few more whooshes are heard as the ray of light beams in followed by a boom. A repeating synth piano piece then plays, ending with an orchestral hit before the ominous space ambience piece plays for the remainder of the logo.

Availability: Seen on a 1980's VHS release of Mehboob Ki Mehandi and possibly more releases from the company.
