Background

Bob Godfrey Films was founded in 1974 by Bob Godfrey and was originally known as Roobarb Enterprises until 1983. In 1993, when Henry's Cat ended, the company shut down. It was reactivated and reverted to its former name in 2005 when Roobarb and Custard Too premiered.

Logo (1984-1986, 1992-1993)

Visuals: Over a white background, the logo starts with "BOB" with a green ribbon below says "GODFREY FILMS LIMITED", and under all that is "PRESENTS". Inside the "O" of "BOB" is Henry's Cat, who meows twice. The logo then fades to white, seguing into the opening credits.

Variants:

  • Early episodes of Henry's Cat have the text inside the ribbon black. Later on, the ribbon is changed to a very dark green, the text in the ribbon gold and in a serif font, and the ribbon is bordered gold as well. However, a few episodes of Series 2 use the early version even after the later version was introduced.
  • On Series 4 and 5 episodes of Henry's Cat, the logo is sped-up and immediately fades in just before Henry's Cat meows, then the logo fades out later.
    • The American dub of Series 3 (which uses the opening credits and theme from Series 4) uses this variation as well, except the logo is zoomed out further.

Technique: Hand-drawn animation.

Audio: For Series 2 and 3, just the meowing of Henry's Cat.

Audio Variant: When the theme song was changed for Series 4 and 5, it accompanies the (now re-recorded) meows as well.

Availability: Appears on all episodes of Henry's Cat from Series 2 onward, as Series 1 uses an in-credit notice.
