Background

National Geographic Television was the television production division of the National Geographic Society.

Logo (1993-2005)

Visuals: On a time-lapse cloudy sky background, the National Geographic logo fades in, before moving to the left with a black background fading in, encompassing the entire background except for the inside of the rectangle. Then a green line draws in next to the logo as the text "NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC" and "T E L E V I S I O N" fade in above and below the green line respectively. As that happens, the sky footage fades out.

Variants:

  • The copyright text can appear sometimes.
  • A still version exists.

Technique: A mix of live-action and 2D computer animation.

Audio: The National Geographic theme, or the ending theme plays over it.
