Background

One True Media was a video editing software founded in 2005 by Mark Moore and John Love. It was owned by SpotMixer. The software was regularly used in early YouTube content, before being shut down in May 31, 2014 by Disney. Before being closed down, Disney Interactive acquired SpotMixer in 2013.

1st Logo (2006)

Visuals: On a black background, a black circle with two white strokes resembling a reflection is seen. Lowercase text saying “one” is inside the curcle, with uppercase text saying “TRUE MEDIA” underneath it. A white glow is surrounding the circle. Underneath the circle, white text reading "Create your own at OneTrueMedia.com. It's easy and free." appears.

Technique: A still computerized graphic.

Audio: A synthesized ding.

Availability: Only seen on one now-deleted video named “vid.mp4,” in which the creator of the video is unknown.

2nd Logo (2006-2007)

Opening Visuals: On a white background, a colored version of the previous circle appears, and below the circle, a url reading "one true media.com" appears.

Closing Visuals: On a black background, the circle from the opening is placed at the bottom, with no text. A glow of light goes once around the circle and engulfs the entire screen, with the "one TRUE MEDIA" text forming from the flash soon after. Also formed from the flash, "Create your own video for free at onetruemedia.com." appears above the circle. The glow of light moves out of the logo entirely.

Technique: A still digital graphic for the opening logo. 2D computer animation for the closing logo.

Audio: None or the film's theme for the opening logo, but for the closing logo, same as the previous logo.

Availability: Seen on material made with OneTrueMedia during that period.

3rd Logo (2007-May 31, 2014)

Opening Visuals: On a gray background with a faint spotlight, a green circle is seen. It contains the white word "one" and the black words "true media" inside of it. As a light moves around it, "Created at OneTrueMedia.com" appears.

Closing Visuals: A longer variant of the opening logo. The circle has no text at first, but a glow of light spins around it and engulfs the screen (a la. the previous logo), then the "one true media" text from the opening appears from the flash. Under the logo, "Create your own at OneTrueMedia.com. It's easy and free." appears.

Variants:

Starting in 2011, the circle is now blue and has a more realistic flash than what came before it.
- The closing logo animates similarly to what came before this variant.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: None or the film's theme for the opening logo, but for the closing logo, a rising sound, and the same ding sound as the first logo.

Availability: Seen on material made with OneTrueMedia during that period.

Legacy: It's a nostalgic logo for those who watched YouTube videos from the late 2000's.
