Background

Bangladesh Television (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ টেলিভিশন), commonly known by its acronym BTV, is the state-owned television network of Bangladesh. The network was originally established as the East Pakistan branch of PTV in 1964. It is the oldest Bengali-language television network in the world, and is the sister to the radio broadcaster Bangladesh Betar, which, along with BTV, are both owned and operated by the government.



1st ID (December 17, 1971)


Visuals: There is the text "বাংলাদেশ টেলিভিশন" in a stacked format shown.

Technique: Possibly none.

Availability: Unknown. Resurfaced as a TV-DX capture.

2nd ID (1971-2000)

Visuals: On a cyan background with a blue surface shown, a white outlined rounded rectangle with a red circle in it is shown, along with the white cursive text from before.

Technique: A still, painted picture.

Audio: None.

3rd ID (Early 2000s-2010s)

Visuals: Over a lime background with a white circular light, three green stripes fly to the center, as the screen flashes, making the stripes red as they fly off-screen. The screen flashes to reveal the camera zooming out from the Shahid Minar monument wiping in, as well as the red circle rising up. Two green stripes then follow to the Jatiyo Sriti Shoudho monument rising from the surface part-by-part. A lens flare occurs and reveals a green gradient background, as the green stripes collide and a green circle zooms in. The logo from before, now in gold, zooms out, and both of the lights slide across the text.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A traditional South Asian tune, made out of flute, sitar and a choir.

4th ID (2010s-)

Visuals: On a blue gradient background, various green and red stripes, along with a golden line made out of small cubes swirl around with the footage cutting to them swirling around the monuments from before, as well as a silver lotus afterwards. They soon morph into the red circle along with the rectangle, and the network's name in golden zooms out.

Technique: CGI made by Koru Bangladesh.

Audio: A modified version of the audio from before.
