Background

WTVW (channel 7) is a television station in Evansville, Indiana, affiliated with The CW. It is owned by Mission Broadcasting, which maintains a shared services agreement with Nexstar Media Group, for the provision of certain services. The station shares studios along with WEHT on Marywood Drive in Henderson, Kentucky, while WTVW's transmitter is located just outside of Chandler, Indiana.

1st ID (1981)

Visuals: A wall of a rainbow circle trail, segueing to a white ring with the number "7" in it and with a red & blue filling fades in. The one of copies zooms in, and white words "YOUR PLACE TO BE..." wipe in above. Yellow text "WTVW/Evansville" then flies and zooms in.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: An instrumental version of "Now Is the Time!" ID from ABC.


2nd ID (1992)

Visuals: Over a blue gradient background with blue-ish stripes moving and a circle, the same logo from before, now in silver and stacked text "WTVW EVANSVILLE" in the lower-right corner are seen.

Technique: Sliding effects.

Audio: An uplifting 5-note trumpet tune.
