Background

Pitbull Syndicate Ltd. was founded in 1996 in Newcastle, England. In 2005, it was purchased by Midway Games and was renamed to "Midway Studios Newcastle". After the parent company went bankrupt in 2009, the studio in Newcastle was dismissed. Several of its employees then created Pitbull Studio, preserving the name.
