Background

Flower Films is a film and television production company that was founded by actress/producer Drew Barrymore and producer Nancy Juvonen in 1995. They didn't have an on-screen logo until four years later.

1st Logo (December 17, 1999-May 31, 2010)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a logo, consisting of "flower films incorporated" with a stylized flower to the right, wiping from the left.

Variant: On the trailer of Donnie Darko, the logo is on a black background.

Technique: A wiping effect.

Audio: Sleigh bells ringing.

Availability: Seen on Olive the Other Reindeer. Also seen on the trailer of Donnie Darko and early episodes of Tough Love.

2nd Logo (September 22, 2011-)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a dark green outline of "Flower Films" with the letter "o" having no counter. The logo duplicates underneath with yellow, gold, orange, and red copies of the text before they all disappear except for the gold copy. The logo then shines from the left.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • Sometimes, it shares the screen with other logos.
  • On Santa Clarita Diet, the logo is blue and in uppercase.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Four ascending bells. Sometimes, it is silent or has the ending theme playing over.

Audio Variant: On most episodes of the 2011 Charlie's Angels series, the regular music is heard, but you can still hear the last note being heard over the preceding Millar Gough Ink logo.

Availability: Seen on the 2011 Charlie's Angels reboot, Knife Fight, Santa Clarita Diet, the movie Animal, later episodes of Tough Love, The Drew Barrymore Show, and Princess Power.
