Background

Cinema Management Group was founded in 2003 by Edward Noeltner. In 2004, the company acquired the right for the CGI animated film Hoodwinked!: The True Story of Red Riding Hood. CMG expanded its genre distribution with the indie film Reeker and the sequel No Man's Land: The Rise of Reeker. CMG represents Moriah Films. CMG is noted for its distribution of animated films that spans such films as Adventures in Zambezia, Hoodwinked!KhumbaThe Legend of Sarila, Ratchet & ClankLoving Vincent and Saving Santa over the past two decades. CMG facilitated the joint production of the film Ainbo: Spirit of the Amazon between the animation houses of Peru and Netherlands. The company has distributed the film to over half the world's cinema markets with an anticipated release in 2021. The film will emphasize the ecosystem of the Amazon and its diverse heritage and history in the form of a myth. The 2020s has posed a slight change in logistics due to the worldwide 2021 epidemic. However, the company is in full pursuit to distribute and produce its seven animated theatrical feature films that spans the continents. Currently in production for release in the 2020s decade is Ainbo: Spirit of the Amazon and Kayara by Tunche Films and Cool Beans; Seal Team by Triggerfish StudiosCanterville Ghost by Toonz Animation and Melmoth Productions, UK; Proud Princess by Luminar Films, Panda Bear in Africa by Katuni, Cool Beans, A Films, and Le Pacte; and Noah's Ark by Symbiosis and Gullane.

1st Logo (July 3, 2012-April 29, 2016)

Visuals: Over a dark background, the logo starts with what's supposed to be the light of a projector, zooming towards the camera. We then see three copies of the words "CMG" in purple mixing together as we see the words "CINEMA MANAGEMENT GROUP" below. The end result is the purple letters "CMG" with the name of the company below.

Variant: A prototype version appears on trailers of Adventures in Zambezia.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A dreamy synth theme accompanied by a choir of ladies singing what sounds like a spiritual chanting.

Availability: Seen on the films of the era distributed by the company, starting with Adventures in Zambezia.

2nd Logo (April 29, 2016-)

Visuals: The sequence starts with the projector light zooming in the dark, as we get to it, we then see the 3D letters "CMG", now in a darker purple and with more "filling" rotating through the darkness, the animation ends when the letters stop rotating and stand still as the words "CINEMA MANAGEMENT GROUP" fade below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: It was first seen on international prints of Ratchet & Clank and it will probably be seen in the next movies distributed by them.
