Background

Uncharted is a film and television brand launched by Skydance Media in December 2016 in order to grow its business. The label is used for non-action, sci-fi, and fantasy media.

Logo (December 8, 2016-)


Visuals: The screen pans over a desert dune terrain with a big dust storm on a mostly sunny setting. In the distance, "UNCHARTED" fades in with a wave effect and after the dust storm passes, "A SKYDANCE PRODUCTION" in the respective logo's font is revealed. More dust winds can be seen at the right of the screen.

Variants:

  • A shortened version exists.
  • There exists an open-matte version on Dietland.

Technique: CGI by Matt Hartle.

Audio: The sound of loud wind. Otherwise, none or the opening/closing of the movie/TV show.

Availability: It debuted on a Variety article on the same day the company was founded, and later appeared on Baywatch (2017), Unapologetic with Aisha Tyler and Dietland.
