Background

This was the production company of film director Steven Soderbergh and actor/director George Clooney, formed in 2000. The duo decided to shut down the company at the end of 2006.

Logo (January 9, 2005-December 15, 2006)

Visuals: Essentially just the text "SECTION EIGHT" in a grungy font on a black background, with most of the letters in white and the letters "E" and "I" in "SECTION" and "G ", "H", and "T" in "EIGHT" (perhaps not coincidentally, the letters that make up the word "eight") in gray.

Variant: On Unscripted, the gray letters are red instead.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen at the end of Good Night and Good Luck (2005) and The Good German (2006). Also seen on the short-lived series Unscripted on HBO.
