1st Logo (November 12, 1986?-November 3, 1989)


Visuals: Over a stone background, the logo starts with huge red-colored (or gold, depending on film deterioration) circular figure - an "N" and "C" connected together - slowly zooming in and panning into full view. When it completes, the words "NEW CENTURY ENTERTAINMENT" fade in below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An ascending synth tune with a clear single crystal-mallet beat near to the end.

Availability: Seen on Russkies, Split Decisions, Nowhere to Hide and quite possibly Cage, among others. It may have been seen on the U.S. Theatrical Print of Race for Glory, the company's last film, but the HBO Video VHS release shows no evidence of this.

2nd Logo (March 29-May 15, 1987)

Visuals: On a black background is the yellow NC with the text "NEW CENTURY ENTERTAINMENT CORPORATION" below.

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Only seen at the end of A Stranger Waits and The Gate; the latter film has no opening logos.
