Background

Madison 23 was a subsidiary of Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions that lasted from 2007-2009 that produced drama films, while its parent company was aimed towards comedy films. Only two films were produced under this label, which were Reign Over Me and Funny People. Sandler later retired the name due to both films being unsuccessful at the box office, although the 2022 drama film Hustle would later be released under the main label.
