Background

Irony Point is a production company founded by Daniel Powell and Erin Bach; based in New York City and Los Angeles. On May 12, 2021, the company inked an multi-year overall deal with Netflix.

1st Logo (August 25, 2011-August 1, 2017)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a TV-esque design with an antenna, with the text "i⸮ony point" seen slightly out of position from each other (a backwards question mark replaces the "r" in "irony".) The text spins rapidly with color bars on the other side inside it. It then stops to show the name as the question mark spins briefly for a split-second.

Variant: On the Ugly Americans episode "The Stalking Dead", the logo is still, the color bars are inside the box, and the company name is shown horizontally below.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A guy saying "Mmm, magic!" or the closing theme.

Availability: Seen on season 2 of Ugly Americans starting with episode 9. It also appears on Inside Amy Schumer, Thanksgiving, and Everything is Okay.

2nd Logo (June 15, 2017-)

Visuals: On a white background, the text from before is seen drawing itself in outlines in black; which is then later filled in fully. After a few seconds, a large dot suddenly splashes in, making the name white on a black background, with a dark blue light behind it. All of this happens as it slowly zooms out.

Variants:

  • A more common shortened version exists, where it starts from the dot splashing in. It also zooms in a little bit.
  • A still version exists.
  • On the second season of That Damn Michael Che, only the finished product is shown.

Technique: CGI effects.

Audio: Usually silent or the closing theme.

Availability: First seen on the film Becks and was later seen on films and shows produced by the company since. It does not appear on the film Clara's Ghost, strangely enough. With the 4th logo introduced, this logo's days are numbered.

3rd Logo (May 6-November 16, 2021)

Visuals: On a black background, there is the text in a similar fashion to the first logo, although there is no TV design this time whatsoever.

Variant: On the first season of That Damn Michael Che, the logo is seen next to the Samana Pictures logo.

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: The closing theme.

Availability: It has appeared on the first season of That Damn Michael Che, Attack of the Hollywood Clichés!, and Michael Che: Shame the Devil. Was used in tandem with the previous logo.

4th Logo (May 30, 2023-)

Visuals: On a white background, the backwards question mark is seen with a circle surrounding it, colored in dark blue, yellow and pink and seen three times out of position. It then zooms out to show the company name (now in a more modernised font) trailing with said colors, as the logo fully turns black.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: It debuted on the third season of I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, and later appeared on Amy Schumer: Emergency Contact.
