Background

Amsell Entertainment was founded in 1996 by filmmakers Alan M. and his son, Elliott Solomon. Until 2010, they owned distribution rights to most Shapiro Glickenhaus Entertainment titles. Additionally, Amsell also acquired the library to Axis Films International. The company went out of business sometime after CEO Allan M. Solomon died in 2010.
