Background

The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), formerly the Association of Motion Picture Producers, Alliance of Television Film Producers and Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers, is a trade association based in Sherman Oaks, California, that represents over 350 American television and film production companies in collective bargaining negotiations with entertainment industry trade unions that include, among others, SAG-AFTRA, the Directors Guild of America, the Writers Guild of America West, the Writers Guild of America East, the American Federation of Musicians, and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.

  • On TV shows, the logo is still, and sometimes in-credit.
  • This logo is sometimes paired with the IATSE logo.
    • On The Tracey Ullman Show Backstage, the logo is superimposed over the 1981 20th Century Fox Television logo, along with the former company's copyright stamp and the latter's logo.
