Background

This was the production company of film director Steven Soderbergh and actor/director George Clooney, formed in 2000. The duo decided to shut down the company at the end of 2006.

Logo (January 9, 2005-December 15, 2006)

Visuals: Essentially just the text "Section Eight" in a grungy font on a black background, with the letters in gray and white.

Variant: On Unscripted, the letters "e" and "i" in "Section" and "g", "h", and "t" in "Eight" are red instead of gray.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen at the end of Good Night and Good Luck (2005) and The Good German (2006). Also seen on the short-lived series Unscripted on HBO.
