Background

MTV Original Series was a division of MTV used for series that were made specifically for MTV itself.

1st Logo (October 1, 2000-December 11, 2008)

Visuals: Over a yellow studio-like background is the MTV logo (with "MUSIC TELEVISION" beneath it) bounce in right next to a microphone that is swinging and has an electric charge. Next to the microphone, the text "Original Series" slides in. Beneath is a MTV Networks copyright notice that fades in.

Technique: Live action.

Audio: None, the show's end theme or a electrical zapping sound.

Availability: Seen on Sausage Factory, Jackass, Clone High and the first season of Rivertington Beach (which was the last show to use this logo).

2nd Logo (2015-2021)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a yellow rectangle stretch downwards to a smaller rectangle. when it fully stretches down, the MTV logo appears on the bottom of it before finally stretches down to fit the size of the MTV logo.
