Everland Entertainment/Word Entertainment (Warning Screen)

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Screen (1993-1997)

Visuals: Almost the same as the 1990 REH Video warning, but with the following differences:

  • The background is black.
  • "WARNING" is in the American Typewriter font.
  • "FBI" does not appear.
  • There are no lines between "WARNING".

Technique: A computerized graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Word Entertainment-distributed VHS releases of Adventures in Odyssey.

2nd Screen (August 23, 1994-2005)

Visuals: On a periwinkle background is the white word "WARNING" and warning text below in white with a black outline.

Technique: A computerized graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability:

  • Seen on some VHS releases of VeggieTales (though most early releases use no warning at all; more on that below) and Psalty tapes by Everland/Word Entertainment. [Examples?]
  • Occasionally, Lyrick Studios' warnings are used on Word-distributed VeggieTales tapes.

3rd Screen (1995)

Visuals: Almost the same as both screens as the 1991 variant of the 1984 Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment warning, but with the background colored blue

Technique: Computerized graphics.

Audio: None.

Availability: This can be seen on some prints of the original 1995 VHS of VeggieTales: Are You My Neighbor?, but most prints of that - and most of the early Everland Entertainment releases of VeggieTales - have literally nothing but the program and the Big Idea Entertainment logo.
