Yo what up, I'm Matt Jackson, I've been part of the CLG Wiki for a month now, Welcome to my talk page on the CLG Wiki.

Why are you editing BoyOnTheMoon's userpage?

Based on messages I've seen on Discord, you did not get any permission from him to edit his userpage. Not an admin, but I would strongly recommend asking someone before editing their userpage. HibiscusCrown20 (talk) 00:10, 21 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your recent page additions

Hello, MJ2003, I am an administrator of the Closing Logos Group Wiki. I have been alerted that you have recently created two pages with little to no content in them (Indivisible Productions and Queen Bee Productions), and I would like to give a reminder that creating pages with little to no content isn't what we desire on the wiki. When creating pages for logos, we would like for said pages to at least be in a mostly complete state for quality control reasons. If you would like to suggest pages to be created, you may add your suggestions on our Logos to be Described page. Alternatively, you may use your sandbox to work on incomplete pages until you are ready to publish them. Thank you for your interest in the Closing Logos Group Wiki. This is your second warning with your creation of Fox "Super Season" IDs. HibiscusCrown20 (talk) 02:54, 21 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry. MJ2003 (talk) 20:06, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
This is your third warning with your creation of ABC Legal Station IDs. Continuing to create blank pages in the mainspace may result in your account being temporarily blocked from editing the wiki. HibiscusCrown20 (talk) 23:55, 6 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Once again, I'm sorry. MJ2003 (talk) 17:56, 19 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your recent image uploads

Hi, please make a point to use any images that you upload so that they won't go to waste and risk being deleted for being unused. Additionally, please do not upload images of print logos, as we have retired print logos from coverage on the wiki per the rebrand. Thank you! You're welcome. MJ2003 (talk) 02:49, 26 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your recent image uploads (part 2)

Hello! I came across your recent image uploads:

and found that it did not include the name (and date seen). I know I'm no admin, but per this passed RfC, it is made compulsory to include the name and date on files uploaded from now on.

Usually, I would have moved these files, but likewise (yet alas) I barely have any info about them. I suggest you gather some more evidence/info regarding them. Either way, please try keeping the file names consistent. Otherwise, I wish you a good day! Thanks in advance! Doctorine Dark (talk) 07:56, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

This is your second warning with your upload of File:Screen Shot 2017-07-25 at 12.18.43 PM.png among others. Sorry for that. Doctorine Dark (talk) 09:16, 18 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sorry. MJ2003 (talk) 19:33, 18 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your edits on Nexstar Media Group

Hello MJ2003. Please do not add blank sections on pages as this is not allowed for quality control reasons. You may work on those sections on your sandbox or a draft before putting it on the main page. Thank you. Logohub (talk) 15:21, 15 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

OK. MJ2003 (talk) 22:14, 15 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Universal logo dispute

What is your reasoning for claiming the mid-90s Universal logo debuted in 1996 rather than 1997? Solarstrike (talk) 23:22, 15 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

I won't do that again. MJ2003 (talk) 01:34, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Alright, but you didn't answer my question. What was your reasoning to use 1996 rather than 1997? Solarstrike (talk) 01:55, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello? Solarstrike (talk) 19:25, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm just curious what was your citation for using 1996 rather than 1997. You're not in trouble, I was just curious. Solarstrike (talk) 04:38, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Because the Universal Pictures logo debuted on December 9, 1996, on-screen logo debuted in the following year. MJ2003 (talk) 08:25, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ah, that's about what I expected with the MCA removal and it getting turned into Universal on the corporate side. As we've gotten rid of print logos a while, we don't really count those anymore; only the motion logos, but I could certainly see someone getting the two mixed up. Glad to at least understand your reasons why - and some pointers on why even though a print logo may have debuted long before the actual motion logo, that doesn't mean replacing every instance of it with the debut of that design - you'd only just confuse editors like that! Anyways, I'll be setting the Universal Parks stuff back to 1997; but I'll make a note on the mainline Uni page the logo debuted in print form the prior year. Regarding image use and print logos

Hello, it appears that you have continued to upload files without using them alongside uploading images of print logos after your reminder for these issues back in December. I want to inform you again that we want users to use any files that they upload as to avoid them going to waste and risk deletion for not being used and that print logos are no longer accepted on the wiki. Please make a point to use any files you upload and discontinue uploading print logos to the wiki. Thank you. HibiscusCrown20 (talk) 22:45, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Unused images

Hello, I noticed you uploaded a ton of unused images, some of which are non on-screen logos (such as this one). Can you explain why aren't you using a lot of your uploads? Camenati (talk) 01:15, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

I won't do that again, I'm sorry. MJ2003 (talk) 21:39, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
After a brief talk on Discord, I, now an admin, am giving you one last warning to use your newly uploaded images. If you have not used an image you uploaded after this warning within 1 day after its initial uploading time, you may be blocked from uploading images for 1-3 days.
Lastly, I believe you have not properly answered my question: can you please explain the purpose of your uploads and why you are not using them? These include uploads of banner art such as this one. Thank you. Camenati (talk) 20:35, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry. MJ2003 (talk) 03:36, 14 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Temporary partial block notice

Hello, MJ2003. It has come to my attention that over the past several weeks, you have uploaded dozens of unused files. You have been reminded multiple times to make a point to post your captures in an article to avoid risking them of going to waste and getting deleted. Because you failed to respect administrative warnings regarding this issue, you have been blocked from specifically uploading files for 3 days. You are still free to edit any article on the wiki, but let this be a lesson to use your images next time. And like before, you are given another day to use the captures you have uploaded as earlier as late last month before they will be deleted. Continued violations of this rule may result in a lengthier ban on uploading captures. Thank you for your understanding. Camenati (talk) 21:02, 18 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from uploading files again. In spite of actually using your captures over the past few months with your Chuck Lorre Productions and Fox Movie Channel uploads, you have also posted a batch of WPIX Channel 11 News intros and promos over the past few days without ever using them. As you have been warned in the past, "please make a point in using them to avoid the possibility of deletion and filling the file storage of the wiki with wasted files". During the duration of this ban, you can still edit other pages on the wiki and use the time to create a draft to use these images, but not allowed to upload files. As with previous reminders, no usage within the next 24 hours will result in them being deleted for being unused. If you continue to upload files without using them, it will eventually lead to another partial block. Thank you for your understanding. Camenati (talk) 16:14, 30 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Warning regarding unused images

Hello, MJ2003. You appear to have uploaded a series of 2023 Warner Bros. print logos to the wiki a few days ago without using them. As you have been told in the past, please make a point in using them to avoid the possibility of deletion, filling the file storage of the wiki with wasted files, and keep in mind that print logos are no longer accepted on the wiki save for infoboxes. If you do not use these files within the next 24 hours, they will be deleted for being unused. Continuing to upload unused files may result in a lengthier ban on uploading files, but please keep in mind that for the duration of that ban, you can still, and allowed to, edit pages on the wiki. Be sure to use the time to think about which files are a good fit for the wiki and think about where they should be included. Thank you for your understanding. Camenati (talk) 22:33, 21 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Selected article tidbits

Hello MJ2003. Please don't input long paragraphs for the selected article section of the wiki portals; these are meant to provide bite-sized information. Logoarto (talk) 12:49, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your recent page creation

Hello, MJ2003. Please note the following things as your recent page creations violate a few rules:

  1. The Credits and Background sections are required. The former is used to archive past edits and to give the page credibility whereas the latter is to provide information on what the label is. Otherwise, no context will confuse readers.
  2. Do not redirect sections. "Same as" is a redirect), and it should be avoided for convenience.

It also appears to have been a while since you have last documented a logo. Since we have changed and added a lot of rules over the past several months, I suggest revising the site rules and tutorial guide to take note of other guidelines. Thank you.
