Background

Lava Bear Films is a production and film financing company founded by former Universal co-chairman David Linde on May 24, 2011. The company has distributed and financed many films from companies around the globe including Entertainment One, Nordisk Film and Reliance Entertainment (also primary investor in Lava Bear). Four years later, Linde left his position as CEO of the company to join Participant Media, after which creative partner Tory Metzger took control of Lava Bear's operations.

Visuals: On a white canvas background, blue paint strokes rise from the top and bottom portions of the screen. These strokes would form a dark forest setting while not only releasing silhouettes of birds but also the text "LAVA BEAR" in a stylized, blocky font and "A RELIANCE ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY" in a normal font, both of which are in white. After the background becomes dark, it can be seen glittering.

Technique: 2D animation by Manija Emran.

Audio: A soft and slow-moving three-note piano melody composed by Echolab, accompanied with nature sounds such as a river flowing and birds flying. Otherwise, it's the opening theme of the movie.

Availability: It debuted on The Rover and can be seen on their other films such as The Forest and Arrival.
