Xing Xing Digital Corporation

Background

Xing Xing Digital Corporation (幸星动画) was a Beijing-based animation studio, which specialized in producing large scale 3D animation, 2D animation, visual effects, stereoscopic movies, games, and titles for well-known institutions both home and abroad. It was founded in 2004, and was known for animating Fireman Sam starting from season 6 to 10. In 2016, they were caught in crossfire after a Fireman Sam episode from season 9, "Troubled Waters", gained controversy and almost got banned from circulation due to someone from the studio adding a page of the Qur'an script that Elvis Cridlington accidentally slipped over. As a result of this, HIT Entertainment ended up cutting ties with them completely and they were eventually replaced by DHX Media (now WildBrain) to do the animation services starting with season 11. The studio was shut down in 2018.

1st Logo (2005)

Visuals: On a dimly lit black background, "Xing Xing", with a light red point and ring in between the two words, is tilted counterclockwise. Underneath it is the text "DIGITAL ANIMATION WITH A XXXXXXXING!".

Technique: Flash animation.

Audio: Unknown.

Availability: Only shown on the old Xing Xing website during 2005.

2nd Logo (October 3, 2010-2011)

Visuals: Over a black background is the same Xing Xing logo, but with a shadow effect. "DIGITAL CORPORATION" is seen below in white.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Only seen on Wild Animal Baby Explorers. The logo is also included in the DVD releases of said show.

3rd Logo (October 23, 2011-October 12, 2014)

Visuals: Over a white background is the Xing-Xing logo from before, but there are solid colors, the circle is thinner, and it is 2D. Again, underneath is the text "DIGITAL ANIMATION WITH A XXXXXXXING !".

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The last bit of the ending theme. For Qubo reruns, the last bit plays over the last shot of the credits, leaving this logo silent.

Availability: Only seen on Secret Millionaires Club, the logo was also in Qubo airings of the show until the channel shut down in February 28, 2021.

4th Logo (March 3, 2012-August 26, 2016)

Visuals: Over a 3D white background is the Xing Xing logo, tilted upwards. The logo is in 3D, with the text having red outlines, and a shadow behind the logo. Below is the text from the previous logo, also tilted upwards, but is flat and doesn't cast a shadow.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: An echo from the closing theme. It could also be silent.

Audio Variant: Some Cartoonito airings of Fireman Sam have the very short version of the HIT logo music play over this logo and the very first half of the regular short HiT Entertainment logo. This is likely due to an editing mistake.

Availability: Seen on seasons 8-10 of Fireman Sam, as well as Fireman Sam Alien Alert: The Movie. Unknown if seen on their other productions.

5th Logo (2014-2015)

Visuals: Over a white background is the Xing Xing logo, with even more solid colors and has the shadow effect removed. Below is the black Chinese characters 幸星动画.

Variant: At the end of The Hero of Color City, it is on a black background and the black text is now white.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The ending theme.

Availability: Seen on Fireman Sam Ultimate Heroes: The Movie and The Hero of Color City.
