Background

Interaccess Film Distribution, Inc. was founded in August 1986 by Vestron as Producers Distribution Organization, Inc. (the unit was renamed that November). Hiring much of the staff from then-recently defunct Producers Sales Organization, including future studio executive Gary Barber, Interaccess handled foreign sales on behalf of Vestron Pictures and other independent producers). By January 1988, Interaccess was rebranded as Vestron International Group.

Interaccess Film Distribution

Logo (September 25, 1987)

Visuals: On a black background, three-dimensional geometric shapes appear taking from of the name "IFD". All three shapes appear with grids etched onto them; the "I" and "D" are in silver and the "F" is in light blue. Below the shapes is the word "INTERACCESS", and below that "FILM DISTRIBUTION", both in serif and in metallic gray. Both the symbols and words appear to be slowly zooming in.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: None, or the opening theme of the film.

Availability: Seen on some foreign prints of The Princess Bride, plastering the 1981 20th Century Fox logo. It is retained on some international home media releases of the film, including a 2001 UK VHS from Cinema Club. It can also be seen on the international trailer of said film.

Vestron International Group

Logo (1988?-1990?)

Visuals: Same as the 1986 Vestron Pictures logo, except "PICTURES" is replaced by "INTERNATIONAL GROUP".

Variant: Sometimes, "PRESENTS" in the same font used in the Vestron logo, appears below the logo.

Technique: Same as the 1986 Vestron Pictures logo.

Audio: Either silence or the opening music of the film. One trailer for Class of 1999 used the second half of the Vestron Television fanfare.

Availability: Seen on a trailer for Catchfire (aka Backtrack) that was found on a UK VHS of Presumed Innocent. Also seen on a trailer for Class of 1999, which can be found on the Lionsgate/Vestron Blu-Ray of said title. The "PRESENTS" version was seen on a German VHS as well as a UK Movie Mix airing of Farewell to the King.
