Visuals: On a black background, metallic versions of Star Wars characters shine rapidly as red or blue lights pass by the screen depending on if the character is a hero or villain, respectively. For example, in Seasons 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian, the characters that appear include Darth Vader, BB-8, C-3PO, Kylo Ren, R2-D2, Rey (with a Resistance helmet on), a Scout Trooper, a First Order Stormtrooper and Din Djarin/The Mandalorian. The Star Wars logo in a slightly redone version (the font looks a little different and letters like the "T" and "R" in "STAR" have slightly slanted edges) then shines in tones of red and blue before lighting up completely in gold.

Variants:

  • Depending on the series, the character order may change. Here are a few examples:
    • The Lego Star Wars specials uses minifig versions of the characters, with the last character being shown. After that, the Lego Star Wars logo (which features the Lego and Star Wars logos, with the Lego logo with the registered trademark icon and the Star Wars logo in its vertical version and a trademark icon) is shown in the same manner. These were done by Atomic Cartoons, under guidance from Devastudios and Lucasfilm Animation.
    • In The Bad Batch, the characters are shown in the same art style as the animation itself, while the light pass has been slightly slowed down. This was done by Lucasfilm Animation, under guidance from Devastudios.
    • The logo was redone for The Book of Boba Fett, in which Boba himself and Fennec Shand were added, the characters have a slightly different order of appearance and C-3PO is strangely lit in red.
    • In Season 3 of The Mandalorian, it was updated to feature more characters from the series.
    • In Ahsoka, the light pass and the logo is entirely in crimson red.

Technique: CGI by Devastudios. According to Devastudios, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) provided them blueprints of the helmets so they could be integrated properly into the logo, while matching the same atmosphere as the Lucasfilm logo.

Audio: An electronic-sounding fanfare with other instruments like strings, horns and trumpets composed by Ludwig Göransson, who also composed the 2021 Warner Bros. fanfare.

Audio Variants:

  • On The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka, the opening theme is heard.
  • On Lego Star Wars: Terrifying Tales, a lightning sound was added.
  • There are two unused versions that are done by Billy Mallery, based on the original scores by John Williams. Furthermore, the sounds for the various characters that appeared (done by Skywalker Sound's Ben Burtt) were used.

Availability: Seen in front of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett after the Lucasfilm logo. It is expected to appear in future Star Wars series on Disney+.
