Background

Propagate Content is an independent TV production company founded in March 2015 by Howard T. Owens. It is backed by A&E Networks, whose former A&E channel general manager David McKillop was the chief creative officer prior to his exit in April 2016. Around that time, Ben Silverman joined the company as co-chairman and co-CEO, bringing a handful of projects from Electus. Silverman previous founded Reveille Productions in March 2002 until it was merged with Shine Group's other American companies, Shine Americas and Shine USA to become Shine America in 2012. A&E Networks had also gave another round of funding to Propagate shortly after Silverman's signing. In October 2018, Propagate purchased Electus including its majority share in Artists First from IAC using The Raine Group's funds. Propagate did not have a logo until 2017.

(June 6, 2017-)

Logo: On a black background, we see the company name in Impact fading in. Inside the words is a time-lapse of clouds moving by and plants growing. It then fades out afterwards.

Variants:

  • It sometimes shares the screen with other logos.
  • A still brightened version exists.
  • On the short-lived Australian version of Ultimate Tag, the logo appears in-credit.

FX/SFX: The words fading in and out, along with the time-lapse of the clouds and plants.

Music/Sounds: Some calm strings, the closing theme or silence. On seasons 2-4 (until the episode "Ripples") to the 2018 reboot of Charmed, the music from the Still Married Productions logo plays over it.

Availability: Common. Can be seen on series produced by the company such as Planet of the Apps, Lore, the 2018 reboot of Charmed, Haunted, Blood & Treasure, Prank Encounters, Kings of Pain, The Expecting, and Broke, among others. Don't expect to see this logo on programming owned by Fox Entertainment, despite Propagate through its international distribution arm handling the distribution overseas.

Editor's Note: None.
