Background

Image Nation Abu Dhabi is the film financing arm of Abu Dhabi Media, the government-owned media organization of the titular United Arab Emirates city. It was established in 2008 and was originally known as "Imagenation Abu Dhabi", before the name was slightly amended.

1st Logo (August 21, 2009-September 13, 2012)

Visuals: Over a black background, the logo starts with several red letters spinning and zooming out from the screen as they eventually settle in the center, forming "ImagenatION". As red colors flash behind the letters (or sometimes, spoke-shaped streaks) and "abu dhabi" slides underneath the bottom right of the text, also in red, an abstract design fades in near the letters, featuring two teal streaks above a dragon/cobra-like red streak below it. "abu dhabi" shines.

Variants:

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A drone and a flashing sound when the letters first appear, then a world-music sounder with drumbeats, synth notes and whooshes. Sometimes, it's silent or features the opening theme of the movie.

Audio Variant: On The Help, the Participant Media logo's theme continues over this.

Availability: Seen on Shorts, The Help, Contagion and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

2nd Logo (December 28, 2012-2017)

Visuals: Over a black background, the logo starts with several lightened squares featuring pictures of people and several objects appearing, flying towards the center of the screen. A red aura appears around the squares during the process, followed by the squares filling and thus lightning the screen. The squares later disappear, showing the red text "IMAGE NATION" they formed. Shortly, "ABU DHABI" appears below the logo on the right side via a flash.

Variant: A shorter version that skips the lightened squares is used on Snitch and Life of Crime.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The opening theme of the movie. On some movies, it uses a dramatic fanfare.

Availability: Seen on Promised Land, Snitch, Careful What You Wish For, Djinn, Life of Crime and 99 Homes, among others.

3rd Logo (April 28, 2017-)

Visuals: There are several glass-like figures moving, revealing the logo in the same font as the previous one, with a red rectangle surrounding it. The glass figures leave, leaving only the logo on a black background with blurry particles behind it.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A calm fanfare with chimes and an Arab-like instrument playing.

Availability: It debuted on The Circle and later appeared on its films from 2019 onwards such as Prey, The Secrets We Keep and Watcher, among others.
