Background

Dualstar Animation was the animation division of Dualstar Entertainment and was one of eight subsidiaries that Dualstar operated. It was launched in 1999, when Dualstar entered a pact with DIC Entertainment to launch a cartoon starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.[1] The resulting cartoon, Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action!, was picked up by ABC in 2001 for the block Disney's One Saturday Morning[2]; however, it ran for only one season. The label was quietly retired after Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action! was cancelled.
