Background

Aspect Film & Television was a British television production company that was formed in 1979 by Paul Sommers. It produced critically acclaimed documentaries and some TV shows. It was later merged with Tiger Television to form Tiger Aspect Productions in 1993.

1st Logo (1985-1989)

Logo: On a black background, a white light flashes, and then the logo sparkles, which a blue blue diamond zooms in. The light flashes and shifts to the center several times, forming the white text "A S P E C T" over the diamond. Extra credit fades in below the logo.

FX/SFX: The light flashing, the diamond zooming.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on several Aspect documentaries and TV shows from the era, like Wax on Wheels.


2nd Logo (1989-1991)

Logo: On a white-blue gradient background, we see the same Aspect logo from the previous logo, only this time, the text is in black. Extra credit information is shown below the logo.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Aspect's documentaries and TV shows like Hit & Run and the Q.E.D documentary Welcome to Fat Camp.


3rd Logo (1991-1993)

Logo: On a gray marble background, the same diamond from before is shown, only this time it was in light blue zooming out. The Aspect letters from the previous logo fade in letter by letter. Extra credit information fades in below the logo.

FX/SFX: The diamond zooming out.

Music/Sounds: None or the end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on later Aspect's documentaries and TV shows from the era, like Road into Europe and On the Way to Monkey Bay.
