Background

Indosiar is a TV station founded in 1994 by Indonesian conglomerate Salim Group. Its programming focused mostly in the realm of traditional culture at first, however over time they expanded to other types of shows. In 2013, Indosiar was bought by Surya Citra Media, the owners of SCTV and O Channel.

1st ID (1995-1996)

ID: We see the Sun rising, enlightening the screen into the surface of a globe. The Sun fades out, and we slowly zoom out of the globe as we see a red, green, white and blue rainbow trail. The trail encircles the globe multiple times until the globe stops zooming out, in which the trail covers the entire globe into a multicolored ball. Then, we see a 3D translucent glass rounded rectangle with the words "INDOSIAR" inscribed on it zooming out covering the multicolored ball. Then the rectangle turns opaque white, and the entire thing morphs into the Indosiar logo, which looks similar to the TVB logo except that both the blue and red colors switch places, and on the center of the rectangle is the company name.

FX/SFX: Cartoonish CGI.

Music/Sounds: A flourish at beginning, which then evolves into a 17-note horn fanfare, then another 4-note flourish, then descends into a 4-note majestic fanfare, ending with a drumbeat. This music would be later used for the following IDs until 2011.

Availability: Extinct.

2nd ID (1996-1999)

Nicknames: "The Flying Fish"

ID: Underwater, we see a fish swimming around. After a while, the fish rises from the water and spreads its fins very wide, like wings. The fish flies over an island, which turns into the Indosiar logo.

FX/SFX: Very good CGI.

Music/Sounds: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: Extinct.
