Background

Universal Music India (UMI) is the Indian branch of Universal Music Group.

1st Logo (2012)

Visuals: On a black background, the 1997 Universal alternate print logo is seen, with "UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP" written below it. The logo is darkened on a grey backdrop. "Music on" is written on top of the logo.

Technique: None.

Audio: None.

Availability: Appears on promotional videos for Tamil language movie soundtracks.

2nd Logo (2012-2013)

Visuals: On a black background, a squished version of the 1997 Universal print logo is seen, with "UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP" written below it.

Variant: A variant exists, where "Download the Cheertone NOW!" appears on top of the logo.

Technique: None.

Audio: The ending theme of the promo.

Availability: Appears on a couple of promos from their Youtube channel.

3rd Logo (2013)

Opening Visuals: The 1997 Universal print logo is seen, with "UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP INDIA" written below it, zooming out onto a white background with an image of their YouTube channel scrolling down at an angle. Later, "Presents" fades in below the logo. A YouTube logo and URL text collide below the "Presents" text.

Closing Visuals: Same as the opening logo, except "Presents" has been replaced by a "Subscribe" button.

Technique: Simple animation.

Audio: The beginning/ending theme of the promo.

Availability: Appeared on a trailer for their YouTube channel.

4th Logo (2013-2017)

Visuals: An edited version of the 1997 Universal Pictures logo, with "UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP INDIA" in orange fading below it.

Technique: Same as the 1997 Universal Pictures logo.

Audio: None.

Availability: Appears on music videos and promotional videos.
