Background

His Majesty's Government (abbreviated to HM Government, commonly known as the Government of the United Kingdom, British Government or UK Government) is the central executive authority of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It is founded in 1707.

Logo (April 8, 2021-)

Visuals: Next to the Union Jack is "UK Government" in white. Underneath is the notice "This production was made possible by the support of HM Treasury & DCMS' Film and TV Production Restart Scheme".

Variants:

  • A variant exists where the entire logo is within a white box.
  • On some UKTV programmes, the notice appears within one row and is underneath both the UK Government and Albert Carbon Neutral Sustainable Production logos.
  • On Late Night Mash, both text are blue.
  • On Extreme Food Phobics, the logo (except for the bottom notice) is within a white box.
  • On Unwelcome, the entire logo is gold and glows like the credits.

Audio: The ending theme of the film/programme.

Availability: This logo always appears on UKTV originals as well as most programmes produced for Channel 5 since 2021. Its earliest known appearance was on season 2 of Meet the Richardsons. The version with just the logo can be seen on newer seasons of Tipping Point.
