Talk:T.A.T. Communications Company

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Could this be our answers to the Lost Footage we have been searching for years?

Guys, I have a feeling this video footage will could be our answers to end the 16-year search of the lost T.A.T Communications Company Logo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TezfAxfuQ0c

This looks extremely legit, it shows ZERO info explaining it's an recreation or a reconstruction, it says it was from an Me-TV Airing of One Day At A Time. Which I'm really unsure if that's possible of the Logo to be found. But, I compared it with the original footage where it gets cut by the CBS Logo. When I paused the video I found at the right timing with the original. It blew my mind. They...they looked the same, both at the same frame I paused it on. But, this could be it. Yeah, no. This is fake. I know this because I created this spoof myself, and it was stolen by the user Nevanski. Here's the raw video of it. Compooper (talk) 18:41, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
Well, I want to get involved with the search. If I can be allowed to edit the TAT Page, maybe for in case the real footage of the Logo actually surfaces somewhere on YouTube or maybe update the page with adding the in-credit notice as the 1st Logo (which is NOT lost) and make the Lost TAT logo as the 2nd Logo. Also I know this is also fake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oL6YmBtqxp8 It's a reconstruction.

DogeDestroyer (talk) 23:53, 29 November 2023 (UTC)

Alas, in-credit text notices with just the closing theme are not allowed anymore. --AUnnamedDragon 3:10 PM, November 29 2023 (CET) Well, there should be some way to find it. Obviously old VHS Tapes is 1 option. DVD Releases is a huge NO as it has the Logo plaster. But what if...RetroJunk another way to find it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2aG_WSQOWM I don't think no has tried searching it in RetroJunk yet. But I did find 1 video re-uploaded from RetroJunk. And also, sorry if it's in very low quality. You can't expect finding a higher quality video of it. So just stick with the 240p. Disclaimer about anyone wanting to contact Norman Lear for T.A.T.

In the words of MasterFlash, "Please DO NOT contact Norman Lear, Sony Pictures Entertainment, or ACT III Communications telling them to give you the logo for T.A.T. Communications Company. They're going to ignore you." Jordanla (talk) 16:41, 24 March 2022 (UTC)

I am putting that there for reference, preservation of advice, and for anyone who are ignorantly desperate for T.A.T. to be found. Jordanla (talk) 16:42, 24 March 2022 (UTC)

Does the first "logo" really count as a logo?

As far as I know, it's only an in-credit text, and it's always different in every show. Logohub (talk) 09:03, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Also applies to Norway Corporation though. (Visit my talk page!) 09:09, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

footage of uncut TAT logo surfacing - is it the real deal or a recreation?

Multiple videos from twitter user RRayova2021 shows multiple VHS recordings of what might be the full TAT logo, I'm doubting if these recordings are real, since his comments read "i made a real TAT logo," "this isn't a remake," "this is a remastered" and "this is the real TAT logo"

I've just asked Ray to share some picture evidence, and I'm still waiting for a response. Does anyone think these recordings are real? (judging by Ray's username, probably not)

MADE a real TAT. till you get the pics, assume fakeness. looks fake to me at least. VOLTAGEsq. (talk) 03:01, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
Most definitely fake. He refuses to give an actual source other than vague things like "It was a special VHS" or something, and hides any accusations of it being fake. I had asked him on YouTube where the logo came from and he deleted my comment. Not to mention the recreation itself is particularly sloppy, the three stars (apart from the fact that three stars is a pretty unlikely number) are all different sizes, come in at awkward times and land in awkward places on the logo. The real smoking gun, in my opinion, is that the first second of the logo is ripped directly from Pannoni's 10/21/1980 recording, right down to the video artifacts and greenish discoloration on part of the star. The video artifacts he added after the fact on the first Twitter link here are VERY clearly made with NtscQt. All in all, it's incredibly fishy, but not at all worthy of a death threat which he got under one of his community posts, which is ridiculous. Lemirestar (talk) 04:19, 26 June 2023 (UTC)

Could P.I.T.S be a hint to finding TAT?

The PITS Films logo could just be a hint to finding TAT's logo.

I'm thinking about buying a VHS player along with bunches of copies of home recordings of only One Day At A Time and The Jeffersons (along with buying a DVD of Hello Larry and if possible, a CBS Late Night recording of Mary Hartman movie) CharlieFiddlesticks (talk) 14:31, 4 November 2022 (UTC)

What does ELP Communications stand for?

I think "ELP Communications" stands for Embassy Lear Perenchio. (USER TALK!) 02:23, 2 January 2023 (UTC)

Category

Can someone add Category:Norman Lear to the page? A. Smithee (talk) 21:45, 5 March 2023 (UTC)

Thanks, IAmThe789Guy! A. Smithee (talk) 23:24, 5 March 2023 (UTC)

Chronology template

Could someone add the chronology template, linking to the Embassy Television page? (talk) 18:48, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

Done. Doctorine Dark (talk) 18:56, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

Is there a recording of the "faint segment" TAT sighting as described on the wiki?

Out of curiosity, is there a recording of the faint burst of the TAT logo that is listed on this article? I can't find any instances of it online. Lemirestar (talk) 03:40, 2 June 2023 (UTC)

I seem to remember a YouTube upload of that at some point. Maybe it got removed later on? Gilby1385 (talk) 13:23, 27 July 2023 (UTC)

I discovered a channel called "The WKY KTVY KFOR Archives":

So what? StudioLerex (talk) 08:33, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
'So what?' So this could be a game-changer, is what! We must've hit a treasure trove, and even if the Holy Grail of logos isn't included, we'll still have plenty of other IDs and whatnot to put up on display! This is HUGE! HaroldMillerHMCL (talk) 00:25, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
Sir, we're talking about T.A.T, not the other idents. StudioLerex (talk) 02:26, 8 June 2023 (UTC)

the damn topic system glitched up sorry

SpeggiMan (talk) 08:11, 7 June 2023 (UTC)

Don't you think we should put in an MP3 of the logo's music instead of a link to it, per that passed RFC?

Title says it all. Gilby1385 (talk) 18:11, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

Can anyone please unlock this page, even if only temporarily?

There are some fixes I would like to make to it (to be specific, mostly removing the tabber template, because I think it's pointless to have one if there is only one image and video on the page; replacing the external link of the audio recording with an MP3 file which I uploaded to the site; removing the speculation as to how the rest of the logo played out; and removing most of the names in the "captures" credit, as I think LARDLOGO was the one who captured the only image currently on the page). If not, maybe someone else can do so instead.

Of course, the sensible thing would be to submit an edit request, but the button to do so isn't showing up at all. Feel free to delete this section if it shouldn't be here. Gilby1385 (talk) 21:46, 11 November 2023 (UTC)

  • There you go, now cook. Dison (talk) 21:53, 11 November 2023 (UTC)

I think this is the complete logo.

Guys, I think I found the full capture of this logo: https://vimeo.com/330171463 DiggaDigga2010 (talk) 22:47, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

should the fps here be that low? also, the availability example isn't provided. it's again one of those "i found it in my vhs collection" example. Cattotld (go see my crimes) 23:06, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
Fake. The real one is known to be accented on the Cs. (That guy who edits the Disney Home Video Bumpers pages) 20:20, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
